Acceptance of terms

Before you can sign in or continue as a guest, you must check a box confirming you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Description of the service

Mapcut helps you save places, see live estimated arrival times to them, and view that information from a home-screen widget. You can use Mapcut as a guest without creating an account, or sign in to sync your saved places and settings across your devices.

Accounts

Creating an account is optional. If you do, you can sign in with email and password, a one-time email code, Google, Apple, or a passkey. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

ETAs are estimates

Estimated arrival times are calculated by Apple Maps (driving, walking, and transit) or OpenRouteService (cycling) and are estimates only. They may not reflect real-time traffic, road closures, or other conditions — bicycle ETAs in particular are based on routing data, not live traffic. Always use your own judgment when traveling.

Third-party services and attribution

• Map display, routing, and search are provided by Apple Maps.
• Bike-route data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database License, via OpenRouteService.
• Signing in with Google is subject to Google's own terms.

Use of these third-party services within Mapcut is also subject to the relevant provider's own terms.

Your content

Saved places, custom names, and settings you create are private to your account and are not shared with other users or made public. Mapcut has no social or sharing features.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to reverse-engineer the app, interfering with its normal operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

Mapcut and its branding are owned by us. Third-party trademarks, maps, and data referenced above remain the property of their respective owners.

Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, saved places, and settings. We may suspend or terminate access to the service for anyone who violates these Terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, including as to the accuracy of ETAs or map data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mapcut is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the district of Montréal.
